This was a quick read but it took a little longer to absorb the implications. What is reality and how does the mind protect itself whether awake or in a coma? I liked how the story is told from the perspective of the least reliable witness — a traumatized person who’s mind is offering alternatives to a truth left for the reader to unravel.
When the mind plays tricks on the body, nothing is as it seems. A fast read, engrossing short story.
