I found this to be a very moody horror novel. A young journalist is investigating haunted places, when she gets stuck in one of those places by a snowstorm. She then learns the history of the place and a whole lot more. I love Wixon's style. She mixes physical descriptions with her characters' inner world in a way that is very atmospheric and tense. You quickly become immersed in the story and stay that way. Her character development is good. You get a feel for each character and understand their motivations. I highly recommend this book for an adult and young adult audience if you like tells of horror and suspense.
