Brian R. O. Callaghan's crime-based story, Bone Deep Blues, mesmerizes and engages readers to the extent of wild imagination and curiosity. It was such a mysterious adventure; it should have been in movies. This story is about two brothers who lost their parents when the youngest one, Sam, was only 15 years old. JD, his older brother, cared for and put him through college. Sam was excellent and about to make partner at his law firm when he decided it was time to ask for his girlfriend's hand in marriage in New York, where his older brother lived. He wanted JD to be the best man. While in the city, the couple contacted JD after being there for 4 days. During their stay, they encountered a vibrant couple who guided them to a popular swing bar, where a chaotic scene unfolded. A drug and human trafficking establishment kidnapped Sam and Lydia en route to their home. The story took a mysterious turn. You have got to read it or listen to it. I recommend it for a thrilling evening of adventure.
"Bone Deep Blues" launches readers into a relentless pursuit led by love and determination. His story as a former Navy Seal turned blues musician is both as intense as it is emotional. The author deals with the harrowing realities of human trafficking and does so in a way that will keep readers turning the pages for this action story filled with deep emotion. What really made a lasting mark on me was JD's extreme devotion to his loved ones. All in all, the vehemence of the character's love just goes to prove that family ties are the strongest of bonds that hail sacrifice as a rule. Let's not forget the bone-chilling antagonist, Baba Yaga, adding an extra layer of gritty stakes, almost like it's personal. More than just a thriller, this is a tale of resilience through complete and utter despair. If you want to read something that's compelling in drama, with bookends of heart-stopping action, then this is the book to read.
