I loved most about this book is its practical and humorous approach to the various stages of fatherhood. The step-by-step guidance is incredibly helpful, providing clear instructions on everything from the first diaper change to teaching your child to ride a bike. I recommend this book to any new or expectant father who wants to embrace his role with confidence and a sense of humor.
The practical advice and clear, step-by-step approach make it a must-read for any new dad. Bought one for my Son-in-Law!
Any new dad is going to get a head start by reading this book. Some obvious pointers and some not so obvious ones which you would only really discover yourself given time and experience. covering topics from general bonding thru play to conflict resolution and teaching your child empathy, this book will allow you to make the very most of the time you have with your child which lets face it if you're a hard working dad will only really be in the evening and weekends - those few hours therefore are extremely valuable and making the very most of them is essential to how your child bonds with you. you only get one chance to create that initial bond so start off on the right track with the advice in this book.
"Dad's First Steps" provides great case studies & insights into fatherhood. It helped me to clarify the evolving role of fatherhood at different stages of life. Of particular interest to me was how & why to engage in the various types of play and how to work through communication challenges. So very important:) Highly recommended for new fathers, new step fathers and for aging fathers too:)
