If you're a parent of a child with ADHD, "Epic Wins for ADHD Kids" by Henrietta Shepard is a must-read. This book is packed with practical tips and engaging activities designed to help kids with ADHD thrive. Shepard offers a fresh perspective on ADHD, emphasizing the strengths and unique qualities of these children. The book is filled with fun and creative games that make learning enjoyable and effective. I especially liked the focus on building self-esteem and emotional regulation, as these are often overlooked areas in traditional approaches to ADHD. Whether you're looking for ways to improve your child's focus, boost their self-confidence, or simply make everyday life a little easier, "Epic Wins for ADHD Kids" is a fantastic resource. It's a book that empowers both children and parents, offering hope and practical solutions.
The book explains the issue along side some exercises, if you know a kid with ADHD can be useful.
The book has so much many ideas and so much information, explaining the games in detail and giving examples too. I only wish I would have had this resource when my kids were little!
As a teacher, I think this book is very useful and gives plenty of ideas on strategies to help children with ADHD feel successful in the classroom. I like how it breaks up the games and teaches kids helpful skills that will help and support them throughout the day.
This is a good idea, a list of stuff to do when your kid has ADHD, most of this is pretty common knowledge though, in my opinion. But still good to have a resource to go to when you run out of ideas..
This book was very educational! I learned a lot of interesting things that I didn't know about before. I'm a teacher and some of my students have ADHD so these methods will help me a lot!
Nice book, wish it had a little more illustrations. has a bunch of activity's to play with Adhd kids to choose from.
