I've been a lukewarm christian all my life, but recently I am on fire for Jesus. This book has really good practical tips and I am excited to delve more into the character of Christ.
Michael Stevens's How to Be Christlike: A Journey of Faith, Transformation, and Legacy is a comprehensive guide to Christlike life. The author repeatedly stresses that we should emulate Christ's life by loving one another without condition, praying constantly, being humble, being honest, forgiving one another, serving others, not giving in to temptation, being disciplined, compassionate, and having faith. The author backs up those actions with examples and scriptures. The author tells us that Jesus teaches us how to change our spiritual lives by embracing, cultivating, practicing, and upholding each act. He teaches us how to learn, grow, reflect, rejuvenate, and share via practice. In this book, there are a lot of profound and robust answers to living an utterly Christian life. It is a must-read, and I highly recommend it.
I was very impressed with "How to Be Christianlike". The chapter on Integrity and Honesty touched me the most. I've always thought that integrity was so important to people and especially to society. It was good to see my views/thoughts reflected by the author.
