From Paris to Zion by Louise Ashworth is a beautifully woven tale of survival, love, and the lingering shadows of war. Set in post-World War II Paris, the story follows young Francois as he navigates a complex world of hidden secrets and forbidden romance. Ashworth masterfully captures the resilience of the human spirit, painting vivid scenes of historical intrigue and tender moments against a suspenseful backdrop. This novel is an emotional journey that will leave readers captivated from the very first page. Perfect for fans of psychological thrillers and historical romance, From Paris to Zion is a haunting yet heartwarming story you won’t soon forget.
This is a very good book. Well written and captivating. The main character, Francois, lives a life unlike many. He faces family issues, severe antisemitism and many misunderstandings. It's amazing to me how people can hate a person just because. Why can't we just appreciate each other as human beings instead of worrying with minor details such as race, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, etc. It honestly makes no sense. This book is filled with episodes that are heart-pounding, nail-biting scenes. You will find yourself pulling for Francois to find love, to find happiness and mostly to find belonging without the threat of discrimination. I enjoyed this book.
