I enjoyed the darker elements in some of these poems, as I feel they were relatable. Overall, I think it is a very nice collection of poems.
This is a lovely book of simple poetry. I particularly enjoyed: The Choice - What is Love - Time - A Slow Death. I bought the book for my wife but found it to be compelling. Riminds me of the work of Brenda Sommer, a poet friend of my for many years whos work I have always enjoyed. I highly recommend this book.
There are several gems in this book of poetry. I didn’t read one that wasn’t at least good. Good poetry, in my opinion, expresses universal truths in a personal way. These poems are not simple reads. You have to think. But they’re not so personal to the author that they become too vague for the reader. Overall, a great job. I recommend this book if you like good poetry about female experience.
