Even without pictures, this cookbook made me hungry! What I really liked were the helpful tips on what each stage of the journey might bring, and also how to make a low-carb, high-protein diet more interesting.
This cookbook contains a wide variety of healthy, carb-conscious meals that will help people get out of a cooking rut. I just wish the cookbook contained pictures, as I always like to see what the food I’m about to cook looks like. Still, this is a good purchase for anyone who is looking to try out new recipes!
Listen, it feels like it's hard to find a 'healthy' recipe book that isn't saying they have one-size-fits-all solution to everyone. I immediately loved the notes at the beginning about modifying for medical conditions and listening to your body. Plus my husband and I loved the two recipes we've tried so far :)
I recently started intermittent fasting and have been doing low-carb for a while. I loved the explanation in the beginning of what exactly carbs are and how they influence our diet and that not all carbs are bad. And also the week-by-week breakdown of what to expect when you start this journey. This is not a fast weight loss fixer, it’s a lifestyle change and the book helps you through all the phases. This was a great resource for the problem that everybody faces, what to make for dinner! There is a 60-day meal plan packed with recipes that will get your creative juices flowing. I think the “Grilled Salmon with Quinoa Salad” is my new favorite menu item.
For readers frustrated by failed diets or constant hunger, this book addresses the core pain points head-on. The recipes are designed to keep you full and satisfied, while the tips on meal prep and homemade preserves bring freshness, variety, and convenience to everyday eating. The in-depth guide to the diet further provides valuable strategies for long-term success, making this cookbook more than just a collection of recipes—it’s a roadmap to a healthier lifestyle.
