The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars is I felt the stories were too old for the designated age group. I definitely feel these are more stories that I (as a pre-k teacher) would read to my preschoolers and maybe even Kinder-1st. I love the stories and illustrations, though, and I like that at the end it tells the kids the moral of the story to help get a jump on their reading comprehension
This book is full of heart-warming and adventurous stories sure to enthrall little ones. After each story, there is a sentence or two that lets you know the important lessons the story intends to teach. The illustrations are beautiful, even in black and white, and seem magical. That said, it could do with some editing, as it is apparent that English is not the author's first language, but if you read it slowly, you should be able to fill in where words are missing and correct the erroneous pronouns.
"Small Stories, Big Dreams" by Alex Riverwood is absolutely enchanting! This collection of bedtime stories for ages 0-3 is a real gem. Each tale is short and sweet, perfect for keeping little ones engaged without overwhelming them. What I love most is how each story subtly weaves in important values like kindness, friendship, and courage. My toddler especially enjoyed the story about the little bird who learns to fly – it's so beautifully illustrated and the message of perseverance really resonated with her. The illustrations are absolutely stunning. They're bright, colorful, and full of whimsical details that capture a child's imagination. Reading these stories together has become a cherished part of our bedtime routine. It's a wonderful way to wind down and create a sense of calm before sleep. If you're looking for a delightful and enriching book to share with your little one, I highly recommend "Small Stories, Big Dreams." It's a truly special book that will spark their imaginations and inspire sweet dreams.
Great children stories, of fantasy and loving self. The only thing I think it should be more for children between the ages of 7-10, because some of words, parents would have to explain to their children, but overall great imagination book.
Enchanting collection of short stories featuring cute creatures trying to make sense of the world through self expression and adventure. The dark animation grabs your attention, and makes the stories even more magical. Young children will love this quirky book. Would definitely recommend. Carol McAllister.
The pictures can be little more engaging , but i would say not it for 0 -2 years old maybe 3 - 6
The stories are simple and charming, just the right length for babies and toddlers, and each one conveys positive messages abut kindness, friendship, and courage. The language is gentle and soothing, perfect for winding down at the end of the day. I also love how the book subtly incorporates educational elements like counting, animals, and colors without feeling forced.
The stories in this book have good lessons for kids. They're interesting too. But there are way too many grammatical errors and typos. There are formatting problems also. This book needs a few edits before it's ready.
