There’s no doubt the author has a vivid imagination and a clear love for the horror genre. The story concepts are rich with potential—each one taps into classic eerie tropes and compelling setups that could absolutely shine with a bit more refinement. That said, the execution sometimes gets in the way of fully enjoying the ride. Frequent typos (like "couch" instead of "coach") and shifting tenses make for a bumpy read, and some character choices—especially those that lean into well-worn horror clichés—can pull readers out of the moment. For example, in one story, a novice camper ventures into a forbidden area late in the day, after several questionable delays, which stretches believability even within a horror framework. Dialogue can feel a bit stiff at times, and descriptions often left me wishing for more atmosphere or emotional depth. I found it hard to connect with the characters, as they lacked the dimension that makes readers root for (or fear for) them. All that said, I truly believe there’s something special here. With a good editor and some extra attention to craft—especially around character development, pacing, and dialogue—the author could elevate these chilling tales into something really memorable. I’ll be watching for future work, because I think this writer is just getting started.
