This is a valuable and insightful book. I bought it for my grandson, who asked, "How do I make friends?" Initially, I planned for him to read it on his own, but I'm glad I read it first. It's actually more effective when read together with an adult. The illustrations are wonderful, and the story is written in rhyme. It introduces three key concepts for making friends. Throughout the story, there are moments where an adult can provide further explanation of these concepts for better understanding. It's a short read, so it won't overwhelm your little one.
What a wonderful and fresh book that was so helpful to me and my son. Making friends can be tough and I loved that this book was based on actual science and used strategies that are back by actual children phycologist, but still very relatable to children. Would recommend this to anyone with a kid who is having a tough time at school with friends.
