This book is a game-changer for parents of boys with ADHD! The practical and research-based strategies make them easy to implement even in challenging situations. I appreciated the emphasis on improving social skills and managing behaviours without resorting to yelling. The toolkit of resources included is an added bonus and provides valuable insights into daily management. This guide is a must-read if you're looking for effective ways to support your son’s educational and emotional needs! Highly recommended!
It is generally a good book for parenting kids with ADHD but it may not appeal to all parents. It suggests modifying behavior through rewards and punishments. I am not crazy about that, although I understand that mainstream therapies still rely on outdated methods like rewards and punishments to modify behavior.
I have a nephew with ADHD, I read this book and now can understand how to better communicate and interact with him. Thank you.
