I really enjoy Joshua Scribner's flash fiction books. I've read probably 8 of them or so, maybe more. I haven't ventured far into many of his horror's as it isn't my preferred genre. This one however, seemed interesting, for some reason, so I gave it a shot. It's well developed, well paced, kept me interested and engaged from the get go and had a great and unexpected twist at the end.
This was a really satisfying flash fiction story – the buildup was great, with a jealous nerd-type planning a horrible death for someone he was jealous of and explaining exactly what he was going to do to him. But (no spoilers intended) the last line packed the real punch! Not what I was expecting – well done!
