This 106-page easy read is about a 13-year-old boy named Tyler who suffers physical and mental abuse at his middle school. When a much feared high school student named Claude threatens Tyler to help him in his drug business (by passing out free samples), the boy swears he will never go to school again. That evening, Tyler is miraculously endowed with super strength. What he decides to do through the rest of the book is what makes the story.
The author, himself, rated his story M for mature -- that is, for MATURE TEENS because of drug references, prostitution and language. Mr. Shauma mixes the supernatural elements into the story seamlessly, the reader may be tempted to search social media for a scrawny boy who can lift the front-end of a pick-up truck.
Tyler Blue blends the reticence of a PeterParker/Spider-Man type with the doe-eyed innocence of Rocky from the original movie in the franchise. It's a slice of real life with a feel-good surprise ending. A triumph of the human spirit.
