"Horror Stories of Shalom Kolontarov Volume 1" follows Shalom and Kelly exploring a haunted mansion filled with supernatural encounters. While the anime-style, AI-generated illustrations are unique, some readers noted imperfections like inconsistent artwork. The fast-paced story is engaging but lacks depth, making it a quick read for horror fans who enjoy eerie atmospheres.
This book gave me goosebumps from start to finish! Shalom and Kelly’s eerie journey into the haunted house is filled with suspense and a sense of adventure that kept me glued to the pages. Shalom’s fascination with the supernatural and Kelly’s boldness make them a perfect duo for exploring this creepy, moonlit mansion. The embalmed hand they bring along adds an extra layer of thrill, making me feel like I was right there with them. It’s the perfect read for a dark night when you’re ready for a heart-pounding adventure!
The illustrations are good. The writing needs work. While I do not expect quality writing in this type of book. I would have been nice to have more dialogue and less omnipresent narrator. That being said, it's a short easy read, so I might read on to see if the writing gets better.
