I liked this book. I came away with more interest in considering the pursuit of one of the spiritual practices she mentioned in the book. She comes across as a personal, spiritual coach helping the reader unlock the potential of spiritual practices. The author helped me develop more awareness about spirituality as a practice. There was a lot of positivity in this book such as how she described grief as a teacher. Most of all, I liked how she suggested simple mindfulness as worthwhile since I have never taken to meditation. Using a more simplistic act such as mindfulness seems more promising for a person who thinks meditation is the only way so does nothing. Thus book made me think I can develop a simple way that’s better than nothing, my current path. Also her emphasis on times of change helped me think about how I’m at a croosroad of change and listening to her might be wise. The only thing I didn’t like.was her reference to past life regression as if everyone would embrace that we have access to past life information. I would have preferred she presented that as an option for finding our way rather than a given for being spiritual. Despite that I feel it deserves five stars as it’s quite motivational. This book offered a lot to think about such as the connection between mindfulness and authenticity. I found it a very worthwhile read.

This book is an okay intro into various psychological and spiritual practice. I don't think you will end this book knowing how to do any of the practices in an in-depth way. But it's a decent intro. You might want to use it to get started and then go from there.
