Yet another, Bowler creates another creepily intriguing world of complex lore populated by witches and vampires and a heroine who undergoes amazing transformations as she fights against evil whilst preserving her own goodness. She deals with both personal issues and larger political issues in this supernatural novel; Bowler has done nicely with a vivid writing style, quite engaging, a balance struck between the eerie and the atmosphere amidst a steady plot. The ending was satisfying, as I’d hope for as a reader, and I’ll continue to pick up and read more novels from this talented author. This is another good read for my dark fantasy collection.
I commend the author for presenting a refreshingly original take on classic supernatural elements such as witches, vampires, and mythical creatures. The imaginative world-building brought a unique flair to the genre, and the characters—particularly Seira—stood out as a compelling focal point. Her independence and strength as a protagonist were genuinely engaging, and I appreciated the way her character defied conventional tropes. However, I did find the narrative flow challenging at times. Certain sections felt disjointed or confusing, which occasionally disrupted the immersion. There were also noticeable inconsistencies and grammatical issues that impacted the overall readability. In terms of pacing, the story occasionally lingered too long in some areas while moving too quickly through others, which made it difficult to stay fully grounded in the plot. While I wasn't able to fully connect with the story as a whole, I sincerely admire the author’s creativity and the boldness of their vision. With some editorial refinement and structural polishing, I believe this story has great potential to shine even brighter within its genre.
This is a very fun and engaging book. For those who love vampires, witches, and that type of semi-historical supernatural stuff, this would be a great read for you!

The Sequence of Immortality pulls readers into a supernatural world where secrets, magic, and alliances shape every twist. Following Seira as she dives into a risky investigation after her mentor’s shocking murder, this book masterfully blends mystery with a dark fantasy setting. I love the vivid character portrayal, and Seira’s complex connections with others including a vampire. At times I felt it was a little predictable, but the fast-paced narrative and tense atmosphere kept me engrossed. If you enjoy a suspenseful, character-driven fantasy, this is one you need to read.
