Good Book, kept me interested.
The writing is intense, and the words give me a visual I love. As a fellow author, I love a book that can take me from being out of my author element and into my reader element. Book 1: Rebel in the Violet was the perfect precursor, and I can't wait to dig into book 3: The Strings of Fate.
Bbook two in the Freedom for Rhethos series is a fantasy that grips you fast, and raises the stakes with some skilful world-building and realistic characters. The rebellion fighting Rhethos’ oppressive regime has intensified, with the inevitable sacrifice, banned magic, and some gut-wrenching choices for our heroes. Angelyn, Will, and Devaki’s external and internal battles resonated with me, pulling me into their vivid world. Lyon’s intricate but tight plotting and emotional depth got me hooked. The twists are clever and raise questions about destiny and morality. This second book in the seriesl left me intrigued about the trilogy’s finale. Good read for fantasy fans.
With its intricate worldbuilding, sharp political intrigue, and deeply personal arcs, The Strings of Fate is a triumphant sequel that doesn't shy away from the moral ambiguity of war and freedom. It’s a beautifully written tapestry of broken families, divine influence, and the burden of leadership. This next chapter will spellbind readers who loved the first book. So far, I'm enjoying the series.
The author really did a tremendous job with this book. I'm not usually engaged in storytelling for so long! It was hard to put this down and clearly a lot of effort went into it.
