Phoenix: A Flash Fiction Story

I am enjoying Joshua's style in these smaller pieces. Sometimes it's hard to get into a story with so little time but this one was very eye catching right away. Definitely enjoyed it.

I loved this little story. For the topic being so dark, it was definitely a humerous read. By the end, I wanted it to keep going. It kind of felt like I was reading a long joke. I'd like to read more, find out how Mitch ends up...

The story is well written and thought provoking. I do wish there had been a trigger warning about the topic of suicide, so that I would have been better prepared.

This was a quick and imaginative read with a unique premise. The idea really pulled me in, but the story felt a bit too brief to fully connect with the characters or the world. I would’ve loved a little more development to make the emotional journey feel more impactful. That said, I appreciate the creativity and look forward to seeing how the author’s style evolves.
