Reality’s Greatest Trick

This is a flash fiction story so short, full of action and in true Scribner fashion, an unexpected twist and ending you won't see coming. The pieces fall into place as you go along even if the beginning can seem a little confusing. Things definitely take a dark turn, I wonder if this one could even fall under horror?
