Flander’s self-help book provides an excellent perspective on the value of building true friendships at various stages of life. As I grow older, I can relate to the author’s emphasis on the importance of building those friendships, given life’s ups and downs. There is nothing better than a close friend to buoy you up through difficult times. Well-written with timely summarizations of key “takeaways” throughout the book. I was particularly taken by the author’s suggestions of ways to build those friendships with acquaintances who otherwise will quickly fade away in this crazed world. Five stars.
This is a valuable guide on building meaningful friendships and turning them into deep, lasting relationships. The tools and strategies shared throughout the book offer practical ways to form genuine connections. It also covers important topics like recognizing toxic relationships and managing conflicts—both essential for maintaining healthy, long-term friendships. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their social life, especially teens and young adults who are just beginning to navigate these challenges.
