This short book is about the writer’s journey and according to her a collection of ‘Life lessons she has obtained from reading, observing, listening, and living.’ For me it has been always interesting to read or listen to other people’s stories. If you expect something scientific or well researched, this book can’t deliver, but if you want to feel others perspectives in life, it is helpful.
This is a good book for personal motivation and getting real with life. It is simply 100 statements that are mostly about emotional resilience and then a reflection, basically how to apply the life skill. It would be a good way to start out the day. One for a hundred days. (Then start over.)
I didn’t find this book particularly useful. Many of the so-called “truths” felt more like personal opinions than objective insights. The reflective questions might be helpful for some, but if you don’t see yourself in the issues presented, they likely won’t resonate. If you're looking for genuine guidance, I’d recommend a book written by a qualified professional—one that offers practical, evidence-based strategies to help readers recognize and overcome their struggles.
This short self-help guide lists one hundred human failings in dealing with others, but it fails to provide meaningful examples of each to help the reader confront and overcome these failings. I found the listed truths worth confronting, but I was disappointed by the author’s failure to flesh them out with meaningful examples. I’m forced to give the book a 3 star instead of the 4 star I would have otherwise given it.
do not think this is worth the money it's very short and over priced not sure if there is a bundle offer on other books but for what this is there are better options
Insightful and eye opening
There is a lot of wisdom compressed and contained here. It's easily accessible and gets straight to the point. A lot of the sayings and observations in here resonated with me deeply. I can already tell I will be keeping and referring to the contents of this book again in the future.
The questions make one stop and think about oneself. How do you react in certain situations? I can see how I used to and how I do now. The difference is impressive. How you react shows what kind of person you are, and your childhood is why you are who you are. Sometimes there are many difficult choices one has to make, so they don't sacrifice themselves in the same way as the fools who never learn.. This is a great read.
