This is an informative book about how to begin investing your money. This would be helpful to use to introduce money topics to a high school class. A great outline that can be easily expanded.
Planting the Seed by Rolando Rua is too concise and broad in scope to be of much use to anyone looking for an investment strategy. You can earn money by investing in Savings Accounts, Certificates of Deposit, Bonds, Dividend-Paying Stocks, and Exchange-Traded Funds, and compound interest can work in your favor. However, these investments won’t make you rich unless you have capital to invest. It’s also possible to make money by starting your own business, but few people are in a position to do it. Rua suggests we adopt a long-term investment strategy, which is probably good advice.
Well, if you don't know anything about putting your money to work in the most simplest ways then this little book is for you. You will learn the very basics about investing your money or what investment vehicles to use to get started. You have to get started somewhere. This book will help you to get an idea where you can do that. I know way too much about investing and the different options anybody has these days, so it wasn't really anything new. Nonetheless, informative.
