This book came at a really important time for me as I try and reel in my health and make better, more positive, decisions. If you're looking to redefine your relationship with food, and you're keen to come at it from a perspective of self-love, this is going to help you no end. From personal experience, I've been guilty of connecting my sense of self-worth with the food choices I've made. This book empowers you to break out of this sort of thinking, which can often result in unhelpful cycles of boom and bust. Unlike the old saying, "you are what you eat"... the book takes a very different approach, seeking to get you to disconnect your sense of self-worth from your dietary choices. I'm applying what I've learned. It's making me feel happier and more at ease. Good stuff!
This book's format of daily prompts to rethink your relationship with food is smart. It encourages consistent effort and uses affirmations to alter your perspective on food, steering you from past habits to healthier ones.
I had no idea how much my eating habits were influenced by emotions until I started using this book. The daily affirmations and insights helped me understand my hunger cues and make healthier choices. Highly Recommend!!!

This is the second affirmations book I've read by this author. I liked the first one better. This one isn't bad, but I think it relies too heavily on the author's viewpoint of dieting. For example, the author seems to favor not becoming rule bound or becoming restrictive in foods. This will work for some people. Others, it will not. My diet, which has been very successful, has been very rule bound, including only allowing myself so many calories and only eating certain things at certain times. Also, listening to your body will only work for some people. Others need something more. Overall, I think this book could help people, but I'd try it for a little while and see. If it works for you keep going. If not, move on.
