I enjoyed the rich prose of this story. It takes place in an alien world, but also a very familiar Earthly world. The story follows several generations of highly talented people until a final boy and girl; how each generation found each other, fell in love, and how they gained their amazing talents. The author takes great care to describe the details of this world as a feast for the senses. As every new scene unfolds one is treated to a delectable description of the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes. There is always a description of the beautiful sun and sky, the flowers, the perfumes of the flowers, and the foods they eat. Mostly, it is a gentle tale, looking at the details of life in a fantasy world. Some mystical animals and people are included, and demons put curses on various characters. They then go on quests to find the magical flowers or whatever that cast off the curses. There is no big obstacle or singular villain to defeat. Even the villains are kind underneath. A word of warning, the last 3 chapters: 30, 31, and 32 have no contact or context within the storyline. I have to believe they are there in error.
This is a very thoughtful and entertaining journey. This beautifully written story of a Utopian made me not want to put the book down.
Throughout the book, I was invited to delve into a tale that merges age-old murmurs with contemporary comprehension, unraveling the secrets and marvels of UBI and its inhabitants. The memoir emphasizes the significance of the story for humankind, inviting readers to explore and interpret the narrative themselves.
A fantasy with a mystical key reading really unusual and surprising. I didn’t think it could be combined with such a harmony of fantasy and philosophy (from Plato to Karl Marx). Enigmatic characters, described with great skill attract the attention of the reader effectively. Original fantasy, captivating and spectacular suitable for those who want to experience something new.
The narrative of UBI is a testament to the power of storytelling. Though it may be but a grain of sand in the endless river of the universe, its significance is immense. The author's commitment to preserving the essence of UBI, while shrouding its origins and their identity in mystery, adds an intriguing layer to the memoir. It challenges readers to delve deeper, to question, and to draw their own conclusions about this enigmatic land.
