I agree with most everything this author says. And there is a lot of research to back up what the author says about exercise and diet. The problem is the high level of redundancy. I think about half of the script could be eliminated. And it could be replaced with illustrations, which a good muscle book should always contain. Overall, it's hard to recommend it like it is.
For me it was not what I expected. I thought of workout routine pictures and instead I got a real education on muscle building really works. I have worked out all my life but never really understood how my muscles really work. What it takes and to understand how to work out your muscles properly. Rest times, hydration etc. play an important role. I could not stop reading the book. It was so insightful. Anybody that hits the gym regularly must read this book. If you think you know, you might want to read this and realize that you did not know much afterall. Awesome read.
