This is a contemporary fantasy work with a little science fiction added in. There is good world building. The dialog is pretty good and so is the storyline. What's missing is immersion. This is due to a lack of character perspective. It read in a this then that story without really delving into anyone's inner world. If the author was to take one perspective and delve into it, this would be a longer and better work. Still, it's not terrible and I think the author shows promise.
