I am happy that the senior crowd was included in this book. The senior community can be very encouraging to young people. Sadly, the internet isolates so many young people that they don't consider making connections. All they have to do is reach out. There are many things to reach out for, but the arts are one of the best ones. Artists are always willing to help young ones and form friendships with them.
Crentsil does a good job establishing the problem here. People can really find themselves lonely in this digital age. She also gives ways to identify if loneliness has become a problem for you. There are some good suggestions for dealing with loneliness in this book. A great deal of the information given and the solutions offered seem a bit obvious. While this, in my opinion, is not the most powerful of her books, I think it does have its audience. If you think you might be suffering from loneliness and don't know what to do, this book is probably worth a read.
